Rockets

Posted on May 13 2012 - 6:49am

Time to work on those rockets.  Help your son build the rocket and bring it to the May pack meeting on the 14th.  Write your son's name on it with a Sharpie, so it will stand out from the other 50 that all look alike.  We'll have some backup plans in case of rain.

Great Campout

Posted on May 6 2012 - 12:17am

Thanks to all of you who came and helped make the Spring Campout a success.  The weather was great, the games were fun, the food was plentiful, and the boys had a great time!

Hands On Shakerag Help

Posted on May 6 2012 - 12:16am

If you and your son helped out at Hands On Shakerag last week, please let Scott Ferrel know who was there and how much time you helped out with cleanup projects at the school.  The time you spent counts towards our community service goal of one hour per scout each year.

Spring Campout

Posted on Apr 15 2012 - 8:28pm

We are going to Woodruff Scout Reservation in Blairsville, GA for a weekend of outdoor fun and games April 27th - 29th.  Please register for the camping trip by April 23rd using the website link so we have accurate numbers when planning for food and activities.  We'll be taking the newly decorated pack trailer, thanks to Alan Cone and Joe Hendricks.  Stop by JCPC to see it in the back of the parking lot behind the ball field.

Hands On Shakerag

Posted on Apr 15 2012 - 8:28pm

The annual Hands-On-Shakerag event is scheduled for Sunday, April 29th at 2:00 p.m.  Please come help us keep our school looking its best by spreading mulch, pulling weeds, and doing some light planting. Adults are asked to please wear long pants and shoes that are appropriate.  We also ask that you bring your own gardening tools (shovels/spades/forks) and gloves. Children are encouraged to participate as well!  Please have each child bring their own gloves so they can help in collecting debris around the schoolyard. Bring the whole family to play in the dirt! For questions, please contact Jennifer Wirth at jen_wirth@yahoo.com or 678-475-9487
